SSE Weekly Colloquium | Fight against CO₂
Abstract:
Climate change poses a fundamental threat to the species that live on the earth. To adequately address this crisis, we must urgently reduce the carbon footprint and prepare for the consequences of global warming. Currently, China is the world's largest emitter of CO₂ and is responsible for more than a quarter of the world's overall greenhouse gas emissions. To this end, we should pay more attention and effort to achieve the “Carbon neutrality” target by 2060. This presentation briefly introduces the rule of CO₂ in the environment, the source of CO₂ emission, and the potential technologies that The Lu Wang Group is going to utilize.
